Smash Pizza Base - tweak??

You're apparently supposed to syn the smash if you use it for the pizza base as its classed as a tweak but does anybody not syn tweaks and still loose good amounts each week?

Because you aren't using it for its proper use, it can be easy to overeat it.
If you have it maybe once a week, some people wouldn't syn it. If you find you eat it more than once a week, it can have a negative effect on your losses.

Try not synning it, and if you find you end up with a gain, even though every single other thing has been 100% on plan, then syn it.

It's the same with eggs. If you use them as a substitute for flour (in a cake for example) then you have to syn it at the same value as flour would be.
Anything you use as a substitute for something that would be synned, you are meant to syn at the same value as the original item would have been... If that makes sense? Lol

^ I don't even do tweaks, and that rule irritates me :P People try to eat better, but the rule essentially says "may as well just go for the full of rubbish option". There should be a limit, definitely, but not equal to that many syns.

That said, the one time I unknowingly did a tweak, it was making sausage rolls. But instead of pastry, I rolled out instant mash, glazing it with egg and baking as normal so it was nice and golden. But it didn't fill me at all. That's where the "not eating it as it's supposed to be eaten" rule comes from, as I could have easily eaten more, and it was more calories than it looked.

Hello I'm obviously a very naughty slimming worlder I make smash battered veggie sausages dipped in egg and then smash a little spray oil and baked yum. I don't do it often and the sausage roll recipe above I boil 1 medium potato boil till just going soft then drain let it stand for a bit for moisture too go mash it then roll out as a pastry sub.
I'm with matt its gotta be better Than having a real sausage roll pizza etc. I didn't know about the egg thing I thought the roulade recipe was a actually slimming world one which would use egg whites like a flour. SW is just confusing at times

Also just thought you could make a meatza if your a meat eater. Its basically mince meat herbs salt pepper and eggs and baked too make a base once set top with tomato and toppings etc. Also you could make a cauliflower pizza base or spinach bread which are essentially omelettes. You basically get rid of any moisture from cauli or spinach make sure its been processed or finely chopped add onion too off you like then add beaten eggs any herbs and what ever you like baked till set then top like a pizza. You can add cottage cheese too it as well which is nice x
I'm gonna make this for lunch tomorrow now lol

Sorry! I've just checked my Food Optimising book and I got it wrong... Eggs are fine however you use them.
It's the fat free yoghurts and fromage frais that have a syn value if used as a flour substitute. As do couscous, bulgar wheat, rice and a couple of other things. It's on page 18 of the black food optimising book, right at the bottom of the page.
