Evening! Got back from the wedding reception about an hour ago. Thought I'd change my avatar to one wearing my new size 14 dress
Had a lovely evening but couldn't manage a boogie due to pain. At one point I had to choose between painkillers or vodka...I went with the latter! The buffet was quite small - sandwiches, pizza, quiche, sausage rolls and wedding cake. I hadn't eaten so had a bit of everything. What the heck, it was my friend's wedding!
It was so lovely to have a night out. It's put a smile on my face :-)

Well OH and I are heading out for some Lunch / Dinner tomorrow. I think he's taking me to Jamie Olivers place. (Def not counting my syns tomorrow). We've been together 11 years and engaged for 10 so it's a wee anniversary treat. We keep saying we really should get married but we've never been in the position. It would be nice though. We've kinda said it would be nice to get married on our "anniversary" next year so that's why I've been looking for my ideal dress (and why I badly need to shed some pounds)
I hope you have a wonderful time tomorrow and absolutely no counting syns!

PurpleJ...nothing wrong with treating yourself (or your horse). There's only the three of us, so our little folder suits us well. You can get bigger ones...or the folding campers (with fabric sides and beds which stick out the sides) can sleep up to 6 normally....that might suit you better.

JaquiE...I love the little folding caravans. They really are just like a regular caravan once they're all folded up...very clever bits of kit! As for camping....go for it! Dig that tent out! We love it!

Alicat...you look lovely in your dress. It's great when you get into a new size, isn't it?

We've just got in from our joint 40th birthday party (hubby was 40 at the beginning of July, and I turn 40 on Monday). Because I have lost almost 7 stone, unusually for me, I wore a dress (loaned to me by my friend) and felt a million dollars!

This is us, with me wearing my friend's Vivien of Holloway dress!

Hello *waves*,

I wasn't on yesterday as I had a day off work and spent it with my beatiful little girl and two mummy friends and their little girls. We went for a lovely walk around the local lake as the weather was lovely yesterday.

I am back in work for the weekend and then got a week off next week....lots of little things happening next week as it's the run up to my daughter's 1st birthday on 10th so have something planned each day so probably won't be on here much next week either.

Wow Looby you look fab! That dress is lovely and love it with the red :-) hope you had a fab party

You look amazing Looby!! I love 50 style dresses they're so very flattering and own a few myself. I'm hoping to have to sell them when I shrink! lol
Hope you had a wonderful birthday party

I've seen trailer tents that would fit us all in, and we have dreamt of adding one to our family one day. Sadly no car to match it as I have a small alfa romeo (that I LOVE) and hubby's car isn't up to long distances and neither have tow bars. So we'll have to get a suitable car in time to go further afield that's big enough to load up and camp with . - once our old dog has had his twilight years in peace.

York1e hope work goes well for you.

Sorry struggle with all the catching up.

Washing to do today so a quieter day. Wet n' grey here which isn't ideal as was hoping to ride my horse again briefly today.

Feeling on a bit of a low ebb today and having to resist the urge to comfort eat. Things aren't great with my marriage and I'm feeling quite stressed and unhappy. I could burst into tears at any point. He's at work at the moment but dreading when he gets home. I just want to stuff my face with chocolate! (hope you all don't mind me being so open but I feel the need to open up)

Oh Alicat I certainly don't mind you being open at all! I am sorry things aren't great with your marriage. If you don't mind me asking what is worst? ( sorry if that is too personal). I hope you are feeling better. The urge to comfort eat is strong when we are emotional or stressed - I have found that the individual tubs of ice cream are great at around 20 syns to hit the spot. I hope things were okay when he came home

You both looked amazing in your dresses! I especially love the red and black combo it suited you beautifully.

Everyones holidays are making me jealous! I have a week endin glasgow at the start of October but that is it. I am looking at holidays for our wedding anniversary in February at the minute. There seems to be some really great prices - I was thinking possibly Malta? Has anyone been? I must say I have never stayed in a caravan that I remember, I will have to give it a go at some point! I am flabbergasted at the folding ones, I didn't know they existed and I think they are so cool - it reminds me of a swiss army knife!

I have bbq tomorrow, but trying to keep it as low syn as possible as I weigh in the next day! But I will enjoy myself regardless as it is for my Nana's birthday - bless her. As I am in the NE Scotland it may need to be an indoor bbq on the George Forman due to the weather .

AliCat so sorry you're feeling so low, could it be post evening out blues? I am awful at being down in the dumps the day after a night out - even though I don't drink the tiredness really hits me and I struggle to get out of my pj's for a day or two.

I hope you can work through your marriage issues and they're not too hard on you.

I can totally understand the urge to eat, but keeping in mind your goals for you, are important, but if you've eaten then tomorrow is a new day and you can move forward without regrets.

you are beautiful already and your future goals will simply make you feel more confident.

I hope the sun shines for you tomorrow.

Ladies thank you for being there. He knew he was in trouble when he got home from work so he said sorry and was very meek and didn't have a drink. That's the main problem, he's a drinker. He can go one day without it but that's it. He's always done it as he worked in the pub industry and as a chef for about 20 years. I always thought he'd 'grow out of it' but no, he'll never change. I really worry he won't be here to see any grandchildren as he smokes 20 roll-ups a day and drinks about 50 units a week, not to mention his bad eating habits. He's a lovely man when he's sober, but not very nice when he's had a few
