I treated myself to a packet of smokey bacon crisps for 6.5 syns, and had some butter on a slice of bread for 2 syns.

I was in the mood for lots of cheese today. I use my Healthy A on milk, so I used 8 syns on grated cheese on my pasta at lunch time.

Aiming for a low syn day today after using quite a lot at the family barbecue yesterday! So will use around 4 on Asda black bean sauce with beef, onion and rice tonight. Having it from the Chinese made me realise what a yummy meal this is. From a takeaway, beef in black bean sauce is 8 syns, so I have it with boiled rice completely guilt free

Staying to meetings ?

Just wanted to ask if everyone stays for the meetings ?
Im not shy but really feel a bit of a loner when I have done as lots of people with friends there.
I try and start conversations but it doesnt really work ...
I know the group leaders always saying to stay for Image Therapy but I cant wait to get out the door tbh !
Has not staying affected anyones weight loss ? Mines going slowly ..veeerry slowly ..

I think it's one of those things that you make friends when you stay... I've been at my group for years, so I usually stay as I know everyone. But I'm also in with a bunch of really chatty rowdy ladies (and a couple of gents!) and we have a really good laugh.
Personally, staying to group does help for me (when I'm on plan anyway!) I get more ideas from other people on what to make that I haven't tried or thought of. I know others that find groups don't help much though, so they never stay. When I put all my weight back on, if stopped staying to group and left as soon as my leader started class (I'm on the social team so I had to stay at least until then)
As for how quickly/slowly losses go, it varies from person to person. I generally never lose more than 2lb a week. Doesn't matter how rigidly I stick to plan, or how few/many Syns I have. It's just how my body works. Others do lose more, but everyone varies.

This is my first time doing SW where I've joined group. I've stayed twice and I really, really think it helps.

I was worried I'd be shy too but I just found myself chatting away - SW is such a lovely thing to have in common with people!

It really does give you a boost and I think I'd leave feeling really positive even if I hadn't had a good weigh result.

3 syns on a Starbucks Hazelnut Hot Chocolate (love these!) and 2 on some homemade Turkey Kebabs And half on a dash of milk as I used all me HE A for the hot chocolate!

Regarding staying to group, in the 9 months I've been on Slimming World, I only left early once when it wasn't my usual group. I do find it helps just because it's nice to hear how others got on. Maybe it's just me, but if I've had a risky week, I find it so much easier to just draw a line under it and start the new week afresh after weigh in in group too.

I'm the same as you Poppypop. There are little groups all round and it's very hard to join in. As yet no one has approached me to talk as a newbie and I feel like I'm coming in halfway through a conversation when I've talked to others. I was thinking of just coming straight home this week. It doesn't help that it's a 09.30 meeting that is very busy and the actual talk bit doesn't usually start until about 10.30.

Using a chunk of my syns on prune juice (150ml 6 syns) each day as I have to try and keep my system working. A pain but medical necessity.

I wanted to stay for meetings but felt too shy to speak up. I mentioned this to the Consultant when I joined and she said no problem, that when she went round the room asking people how they were doing, she would discretely miss me out.

She did this for the first month or so, then she sensed I was ready to speak up. I did and haven't looked back!

I would recommend staying, I am finding it really helps.
