How things change!

Hi,

Just thought I'd share...

I turned round to my partner today and said 'I've had a really bad SW day today... think I am gonna have the night off and have some wine'

In reality today I have had;
raspberries and skyar yogurt (free)
Egg on toast (healthy b/free)
Tuna sandwich on wholemeal bread (naughty!!) and a packet of baked crisps (roughly 7 syns) and a HiFi bar...

Pretty bad if you follow SW... but a year ago a bad day for me would have been; egg on toast, white bread cheese baguette w/butter, packet of crisps, chocolate bar, full fat coke and probs a flapjack around 11am!!

How things change... just shows SW becomes a way of live!!

That's great! It sounds like you have done really well today. It is funny of how our perception of unhealthy foods changes as well the longer we have a healthy lifestyle. Sounds like you're doing great on SW

Just looking at what you have eaten isn't really a bad Slimming World day.
Your syns are there to be used so you have used some.

Enjoy your glass of wine.

I know - I really need to remember that it's OK to use syns. I get 15 a day!!

I am really enjoying this glass of wine!

If there was one thing I could change about slimming world (and the one thing that has caused me to flounder in the past) it would be that I LOVE wine and beer and it is very difficult to drink anything at all within your daily syns.

I am quite focussed on loosing weight for a wedding at the end of the summer, so have accepted that to do this I will need to ease off the booze a bit, it will do me good, sniff...

We all deserve that glass of wine every so often! Sometimes it's better to have it rather than not... I only end up eating something else that takes me way over if I don't have something that I want and counting it
When I'm on plan, I do miss beer... especially when the weather starts becoming as nice as it has been the last few days!
I'm not stopping myself from drinking if I go out, but I'm trying to make sure that I have spirits and a diet mixer instead... although diet coke gets a bit boring after a while lol

'sactly - a pint of San Miguel in the sunshine...love it. Our pubs beer garden is lovely too.

Have found switching to half pints helped a bit...if I sip it slowly, it lasts as long as my boyfs pint lasts him and I don't really notice having less.

But when I think I used to drink 4 pints easily and share a packet of nuts with each, once or twice a week - we are talking a 75 syn night!!

Things do change, and for the better!
