Syn free recipes for soup?

Hi does anyone have any simple recipes for home made soups please?
I regularly make the SW tomato soup and am seeking inspiration.
Thanks x

Hi Jessie

There are quite a few soup recipes on the SW website (which you can access without logging in) http://www.slimmingworld.co.uk/healt...arch-term=soup

This is one of our favourites:

Chinese Chicken Noodle Soup

Ingredients:

8 Chicken drumsticks skin removed. (if you don't like faffing about removing the meat once it's cooked you can pop in a chicken breast or two)
Bunch of Spring Onions (sliced)
2 carrots - finely sliced into sticks (if you can be bothered, otherwise just thin)
tub of mushrooms - diced
2 chicken stock cubes
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Ginger
1 garlic clove - crushed
Pinch of 5 spice (optional)
Teaspoon of chilli powder or a fresh chilli or two depending on your taste - again optional.
Baby fresh sweetcorn
Dried noodles

Method:

1. Pop the chicken, stock cubes, around a litre of boiling water, 2 tbsp soy sauce (or however much you'd like) the ginger, garlic, 5 spice and chilli into a big pan. Set it simmering for around 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked.
2. Remove the chicken from the liquid and shred it into little pieces.
3. Pop your chopped spring onions and finely diced carrot into the liquid and cook for a couple of minutes, you can also add your noodles at this point. Let the noodles nearly cook and then add your mushrooms, sweetcorn and shredded chicken towards the end for a minute or two.

It's really nice you can still access the recipes without joining up, I haven't renewed my online membership yet (waiting till my losses slow a bit haha)

The soup recipe I posted is an enormous pan full, as all my family eat it, but you could easily half/quarter it if there's only you.

I always favour a bog standard veg soup recipe - throw loads of veg in a pan, cook it, add some seasoning and then blend it.
So simple and full of speed foods

Hi I've had a good browse around the SW site & got some great inspiration I'm off to the shops now I'll stock up on fresh veg too and make a good warming hearty soup too, Who'd have thought that the weather at this time of year would call for warming hearty soup? 😠 thanks for the advice and suggestions, always appreciated x
