I've never fully endorsed pasta being Syn free on Slimming World but everything in moderation I say
This is a lean version of the classic bolognese.
500g Extra lean minced beef
500g Tomato passata
200g Mushrooms (quartered or sliced)
1 Large onion (chopped)
1 Crushed garlic clove (or 1 teaspoon of very lazy garlic)
2 tbsp tomato puree
2 tsp mixed herbs
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
1 Beef OXO cube
: You can replace the minced beef with the same quantity of Quorn
Brown the mince in a non-stick frying pan.
Add the onions, garlic (and optional OXO cube).
When onions have softened add remaining ingredients and simmer (stir occasionally).
Meanwhile cook pasta in boiling water (as per packet instruction), approximately 30g per person.
By the time the pasta has cooked the bolognese should be at about the right consistency.
