low calorie turkey

I love turkey for lunches through the week along with my salads but lately I swapped over to a low calorie turkey and I can not believe how real it tastes. Does anyone here have a specific brand that they will only eat?

Low calorie turkey? really? There is really such thing as a low calorie turkey? I thought that turkey was high in protein, low in calories and low in fat compared to other meats? How do they take the calories out of it

When you say that you switched over to a "low calorie turkey," how many calories difference are you talking about? I didn't know that there was a "high calorie turkey;" I thought all turkey was low in calories...

To answer your question, though, we generally eat Carl Buddig turkey.

You know, I have never really paid attention to the brand of sliced cooked turkey that I buy at the deli counter for sandwiches.

As far as raw turkey is concerned, I like the Honeysuckle White. For ground turkey I like Jennie-O.

Deli is where it is at for some of the stuff. My husband takes a lunch each day and I am always shopping around for the best deals and products. I guess I have started to grow up a little when it comes to shopping. A few weeks ago I walked out with about $45 in foods and only spent maybe half of that. The low calorie one I found was low-sodium turkey breast, you should check your local store. I think it is about 20-30 calories a slice.

I really like turkey deli meats too. I'm pretty sure I have had the low sodium kind and it was good. When we were young we used to roll a slice of turkey or ham around a pickle and sometimes I still get a taste for that.
