Outside running and what to wear!

What would you / do you wear in this weather for outside running in the cold winter weather? Obviously your body will hear up so I don't want to over wrap but I'm hmmmm if to just buy running bottoms and a t.shirt! Thoughts?

I wear leggings, a long t shirt and a hoodie! I do end up a little on the sweaty side, but not overheating! I figured if I got too hot I could always take the hoodie off!

I normally just wear a pair of workout pants (basically leggings but usually boot cut instead of tight at the calves) and a long-sleeve shirt. I heat up fairly quickly so I don't really ever need to wear thick clothes or more than one layer.

I tried to do the layers deal last year but it just got to be too much. This year I want to stock up and actually get clothing made for cold weather. Too many layers ends up making me not even want to bother working out. It bogs me down.

find this as i was reading a article about running in cold weather as well ...

2. Wear the right fabrics.

One area where modern runners have a huge advantage on those who started out in the running boom of the late 1970s and 80s is in the types of fabric available for running gear. Materials such as polypropylene, capilene, and some wool/synthetic blends wick moisture away from your body and keep you as warm and dry as possible.

Avoid wearing cotton because it doesn't wick moisture and also has very little insulating ability, which will leave you wet, cold and uncomfortable.

Closest I get to that is playing with the kids

I can think of a dozen other exercises I'd rather do than run

I wear workout leggings - not the bootcut kind though. I also wear a Danskin tank top (fitted) - it helps keep my boobs from bouncing! I usually throw a Danskin long sleeve shirt over the top. Of course I also wear gloves and a hat! You have to keep your head warm!
