This! My house needs to be free of junk food forst or I just can't stop thinking about it!

I think you should set an official start date and work on clearing your house of junk food before then. Go to the grocery store before your start date and fill your cart with healthy foods. Plan out healthy meals and try to make everything as easy as possible -- cook ahead, freeze or refrigerate meals in individual servings, etc.
Like this too
Having an ambiguous start date makes it easy to cheat and put off until tomorrow. I'm a bit tight so don't like clearing out the junk + I have kids and don't mind them having a treat now and then, so got the missus to hide the crap
tbh she did a bad job hiding but she knows what is in there and I can't get away with dipping in
Having a food plan helps. Very easy finding you are out of sensible food on the day and reach for a frozen pizza or chips because you don't want to go to the shops. Doing a weeks shop really does help + do it when you aren't hungry. Hungry shopping is the worst, you end up with all sorts of things sneaking into the trolly
