The 8 Healthiest Drinks

I was reading this article in Fitness Magazine and was really surprised to see hot chocolate on the list.

According to the article the 8 healthiest drinks are green tea, mint tea, 1% reduced fat milk, soy milk, hot chocolate, low-sodium tomato juice, cranberry juice, and orange juice. I was happy to read that because I drink a lot of those!

They explain the reasons why each of those are good for us. It's not a long article but I learned a bunch of new things.

That is very interesting! I too am surprised hot chocolate is on the list as I have always seen that as more of a naughty treat drink. I drink lots of green tea but I never have any of the other drinks on the list!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing that. I love hot cocoa but I did not drink it very often because I thought it was bad for you. I make my own with skim milk. I need to start drinking green tea!

Hurray! I already drink most of what's on that list. Good to know I'm not in trouble for imbibing so much tea and juice. But hot chocolate is definitely a surprise. I wonder if you benefit from it with a powdered mix, though.

I don't really drink any of them I'll drink peppermint tea if I'm feeling bloated and sicky and like the odd hot chocolate though! I tend to just drink coffee and cordials.

I don't drink too many fruit juices because they raise the blood sugar too much but I really love tomato juice and green tea. A cup of real hot chocolate, not that packaged mix kind, is a treat. Nice to know it's one of the "healthy" drinks.

I think it is only bad if you stuff it full of too many marshmallows. I drink 6 of those which is not bad but I just can not handle soy or tomato juice. To me they are just "not my favorite" (as my daughter says).

I am shocked that water didn't make the list! I drink a lot of the things in that list though. I was not surprised that hot chocolate was on the list because chocolate really does have some great health benefits.

Maybe the article just meant beverages other than water. I do drink a lot of that. I keep a large jug of it in the fridge.

I also don't like soy milk all that much but the almond milk is really good.
