Does anyone know about washing machines?!

I think ours is on it's way out we rent and it came with the house, so luckily isn't our responsibility to fix! It's always been quite noisy, but today it's really, really noisy! I think the drum's coming loose as it shakes a lot when spinning, but now it seems to be making noises when it's taking water in? I don't know how to describe the noise really!

Is there anything I can do to try and fix it, or should I call the landlord? Typically I've got a weekend's worth of washing to catch up on and all the towels need doing! Sod's law

Actually scrap that, I was stood with my foot against it whilst typing, took my foot off and there's very definitely something wrong with it! I hate having to call the landlord out

Maybe it's something as simple as a screw or bolt that came loose. We had our washer dump a whole load of water on the floor once. What a mess that was!

I hope he can get it fixed or replaced for you right away.

Eek I don't think he has to provide one unless it's stated in your tenancy agreement but hope he gets it fixed for you x

I think cos it came with the house, it's their responsibility, will check though! I'm going to drain out the filter bit just in case it's clogged - couldn't stomach it earlier and will give them a call tomorrow if needs be! It's probably just overused, we've been here over 2 years now and it wasn't new then! Typically I do 2-3 loads a day so it's quite likely that it's had enough! They just don't make things like they used to

Hope you manage to get it sorted.
Ours broke about a month ago. Such a pain! We had to buy a new one and the old one is still in the back garden
