Lost Weight before, but starting to put it back on

Hi everyone, I'm 37 size 12 and was previously size 18. I'm too scared to look at the scales. I usually don't like to own any, but my hubby insisted. When I gave up sugar completely, I went from size 18 to size 10. But because everyone else in my household loves sugar, I've almost given up on trying to keep my diet up and went back to sugar. I am still pushing through regardless, but hard to please the rest of the household.

Hi and welcome to Social Slimmers! You have done so well with your weight loss, well done! It can really be a struggle when living with a family that loves sugar. My husband loves loads of treats and it is always very tempting! Maintenance can be hard long term and we all have slip ups but you will get there

Thank you! So far I have stuck to it for at least 3 days. I'm eating mostly wraps and steamed vegetables with fish. Great to be part of the forum

It's hard when your partners and children have the sweet stuff. I try and be careful with how many times and portion sizes. For example pudding after dinner and a biscuit with milk before bed, I will have a biscuit before bed or I my portion size will be half of the others.

Hi newwoman

Welcome to Social Slimmers

It's torture when the goodies are in the house for the kids ... once you get through 'that stage' you become stronger resisting, it becomes natural as you probably know but you sound like me you got a bit comfortable now trying to get back to the resisting.

I tend to buy them stuff I don't like or like much ... I could take it or leave it type thing.

What plan do you try and follow? Clean? x
