new to site...

hi everyone

am trying so hard to lose at least 6 stone...have decided im not on a diet..i am just changing the way i eat...i started of at 17 stone on feb 1st 2016...weighed myself today and the scales say 14 stone 12...i know i have a very long way to go...cant do too much exercise due to the fact that i had a major operation 16 months ago and doctors have advised me to not do anything strenuous

so all i can do is walk which i try to do for at least an hour a day..albeit slowly...

sometimes feel like giving up..but i said i never wanted to be fat and 30...nor fat and 40...well now im 4 years away from being 50 and i really cant be fat and 50...feel downheartened most of the time when i look in the mirror..and even worse when nobody seems to notice my weight loss...

need help to keep going

Hi and welcome to Social Slimmers!

That is a great way to go about it, changing the way you eat, rather than a set diet. Much more sustainable in the long term. Best of luck with your weight loss journey!

Welcome to Social Slimmers

Congratulations on your losses so far! That's fantastic!!
I agree with Bevz, changing your way of eating is a more sustainable way of eating on a long term basis, so I think that's a great idea

Good luck and I look forward to following your journey!!

Hi Kakiko!

Welcome to Social Slimmers.

Great weight loss so far. Do you have a partner? Could you let them know how important it is to get support. One of the things that kep me going from near 15 stone to 10 stone is pictures of myself in a long mirror. xx
