Red face

Another newbie here!

Hi All,

Another newbie here. Started SW 10 days ago and so far so good.

I've got A LOT of weight to lose so a long old journey ahead. I don't mind, I'm finally in the right frame of mind and feeling motivated.

Have just turned 49, and I've had high BP for quite some time now and on top of that I was diagnosed with bilateral blood clots in 2014 and been on warfarin ever since. I was told that being overweight didn't cause my clots but I'm guessing it sure didn't help!

So I started at 20st 9lbs (my heaviest weight) and the first week I lost 9lbs (the fact that I couldn't stop peeing for a couple of days makes me think a lot of my first loss is fluid related - but who's complaining? LOL)

Nice to 'meet' you all

Hi, welcome to the site!!

Congratulations on your first week. The first week you will tend to loose more (I lost 6.5lbs) but as your weight loss steadies just keep going!
Always remember maintaining one week or loosing only half a pound is always better than a gain, there's always people at group or on socialslimmers that are there to support you and get you through the bad weeks!

Keep us posted on your progress, and I wish you the best of luck!!!

Amy x
