Hi all - Slimming world

Hi everyone,

I am 26 years old and work from home but have set hours that I am required to be at the PC so I need foods I can grab within a few mins and return to my desk.

I have been doing slimming world online for a while now but seem to always get down to 12stoneish and seem to go off track. I have joined social slimmers in hope of finding inspiration.

My main issue is meals. I need to plan my meals so I know what I am having each day so I can prep things and have it to grab and eat. I would really like to find some foods I can prep, freeze and reheat as and when needed.

For Christmas, when people ask what I would like I am suggesting items I can use for slimming world I.E a blender, or vouchers so I can buy more items to help me prep and store meals. If anyone has any ideas for what food prep things would come in handy that would be great

It's great to be here and I am very excited to mooch around the forums for new ideas and inspiration.

I love your Christmas ideas! That's a great way to help keep you on track

There are plenty of lovely recipes in the recipe thread on the SW section, and I've no doubt we've all got a few spread around our own food diaries, so feel free to pinch ideas from us

I've always got chilli's, bolognese's, curries, meatballs, and other dishes tucked away in the freezer that only really need me to make some rice or pasta to go with them which is so easy

Good luck on your journey, and I hope you find the help and inspiration you are looking for here, everyone is very friendly!

Hi Sami ... welcome to Social Slimmers!

I know those habits very well. Working from home I had 4 bad bad habits;
  • constantly refilling my coffee cup which came with +2 sugars
  • constantly taking mini breaks to the back door for a cigerette
  • junk food,/boredom food on the desk
  • quickest thing to grab to eat was just fine (usually sh*t)
Thankfully none of those are apart of my life any more apart from black coffee and the willpower sometimes no to snack!

As for good buys ... I have the new active blend, I love it better than the bullet style I had. I just make very simple and quick smoothies with protein, spinach, berries etc and also I love my spiralizer for zoodles.

How are you getting on?
