Hello everyone

Hi, I'm Jane.. I was previously on minimins site, but went back there and it was shut down... So here I am.. Looking for support. I have always had weight issues, and I lost almost 12 stone a year and a half ago on the Paul McKenna Hypnotic Gastric Band, but since then I have managed to put around 4 stone back on!... So now I'm back on the Paul McKenna kick, and just had my first weekly weigh in and I've managed a 10lb weight loss!.. So onwards and downwards x

OMG Jane that's amazing even if you did put some back on

Do you actually get hypnotised or is it one of those things you listen to at night? One on my friends went to a hypnotist for a gastric band but she said it didn't work. Guessing it's one of those things you have to do regularly and not a one off quick fix

It's just a book you buy, with the cd in the back sleeve of the book... You read the book and listen to the cd, and it makes you think you've got a gastric band.. It worked for me and hubby last time, and hopefully this time too... I like it, as it's not a diet, and you can eat whatever you choose, and when youre full, stop.. I find I eat a quarter of what I did previously... Xxxx

Hi Jane,

Welcome to Social Slimmers.

Wow at the 12stone loss, although the gain is a shame (I know I've just done it myself) you can only look forward
and what a great start with -10lbs

I just had a look at the Paul McKenna Hypnotic Gastric Band... interesting, looking forward to following your journey!

I tried this once and had no luck with it.Probably as I could never stick to 'diets'.

Well done on losing nearly 12 stone and only putting 4 back on.Great that your back on it and getting it under control again before it spirals and your back to where you started.

Thanks xxx

But this really isn't a diet.. The only reason I fell off the bandwagon is simply because I got complacent, I stopped listening to the cd and stopped weighing in.. Then didn't want to weigh in, through fear of the result x

We've all been there Misses (or at least some of us have... me being one!) as much as you may have gained 4 stone, you've still kept 8 of it off! That's an amazing thing in itself I'm sure that once you get back to listening to the CD again and planning meals, it'll just click back into place all over again
I've never tried the Paul McKenna style, but I've heard good things from some people on places like this about it

Good luck for your next WI, and hopefully that 4 stone will be on it's way back off
