Hello, my story is here :)

Hello I am 24, have a 5 months old boy and losing weight again

First time I started losing weight was in 2010, when I nearly reached the "overweight" line. I made a promise to myself never be overweight, so there I started. It took me good 2 years to get from 64 kg to 49 kg, I exercised daily around 1,5 hours, I loved it

And last year I got pregnant and gained lots of weight during last few months of pregnancy, then in December I had a c-section which made me not too mobile. In January (I am not breastfeeding, no harm for the baby), I started my usual calorie counting.

By today I lost 15 kg (on 1st of January I was 74 kg, now I am 59 kg) and went from size 16 to size 10 (UK). I am still aiming to lose another 5 or 9 to get to size 6-8.

Happy to meet new people and make some friends

Hi AprilSky!

Sounds like you've smashed it before and you will do so again (to your target)!

Thank you! I am very determined to lose weight but I can't help but be impatient and it is so annoying If only I was more free and had more time and energy, it's so hard with a baby and lack of sleep.

It's one of the hardest challenges I've set myself so is keeping it up ...

A lot of your energy or lack of can also come down to eating habits/food, not all when you have a busy life and little ones I know but you could find eating well also decreases how fatigue you are and increases your energy more.

Pop some posts up where the main areas are you struggle with and I'm sure some of us will have some advice or tips what worked for them.

Well my son usually wakes up at 5.30-6 am and goes to sleep at 8-9pm. I stay with him non-stop till 7pm, my mom takes over for the night. During the day he usually has only two very short naps, one when we go grocery shopping, another I usually try to sleep too, to catch up for night. And then I go to sleep around 10pm myself, sometimes around midnight. I tried to use treadmill around 7pm, but my very not nice neighbors prank called me few times to the flat to get me off the treadmill! They never came to me to ask nicely. During the day I can't exercise, cause my son wants to play with me all day long and if I do something of my own, he gets quite upset and cry loudly. I don't even get to finish reading my book. Only time to exercise I have is evening and I usually feel tired by then, I have to wash dishes and do washing/cleaning. Diet is harder, because I have multiple allergies like eggs, honey, vitamin C, pollen. I am very restricted. Before my son was born I used to have lots of energy even with my not so good eating habbits, go running, work 12 hours on my feet. Now I can barely find time for exercise I am hoping when he get's bigger it will be easier (he will only be 6 months soon). I used to do Pilates daily.

Oh wow that sounds so hard with the sleep! My toddler wakes around the same time for the day and I find the early mornings so hard to cope with, but she goes to bed at 6.30pm which I sometimes find myself counting down to!

The tiredness is so hard isn't it!

Mornings are hard, I usually would give a lot for another hour of sleep! I don't mind him being active during the day, I just wish I had at least an hour a day for myself when I am not a zombie yet! I envy how much energy and enthusiasm he has

Oh I don't miss those days .. my reply seemed so it's ok and easy which I didn't mean it to. I was in all directions yesterday lol!

Nightmare with the neighbours ... you above them in a flat? Maybe find out what it is they hear/how loudly and consider another room where it may not annoy them at that time in the evening? Another option is to silence the phone while you are on it

You might find your son intrigued to be around you and try a workout DVD at home, if you get the 30 day shred your downstairs neighbours might not like the jumping jacks though ha!

Your allergies are very restrictive if I compare them with my weekly shop! Is there a link to the foods you can't eat? x

Yes, my flat is above theirs and they seem to be troubled people. I would gladly talk to them, but the guy seems to have some sort of drinking issues and lady seems to shout on kids a lot. So I avoid them. When my son starts sleeping through the night and my mom doesn't have to stay with him at night, I will use my treadmill at day time, they can't be mad if I do it in the afternoon!
I got the worst hayfever now coughing, nose runny and eyes crying all day long. And my boy has his first teeth coming through! Haven't slept much tonight.
Oh, my list of foods I can't eat is too big! It's easier to say what I eat, it's beef, chicken, turkey, lamb, fish, all grains, bananas, most nuts (apart from walnuts, coconuts), potatoes, pasta, chocolate, pears, cheese, yogurt, I can eat very small amount of cucumbers and tomatoes, little bit of pineapples, grapes, carrots, boiled cabbage. My day menu is usually one fish, one beef stake or chicken breast, some rice, and different snack depending on what I feel like eating. I mix up food, sometimes I go for pizza or pasta, and sometimes for chocolate, just keep it in my calorie allowance range.
