Help

Hi guys, I'm Kerry a mum of 2 boys. I am in desperate need to lose some weight and whatever I'm currently doing just doesn't seem to be working.
Ok so I've recently joined a gym which I go to 3 times a week and I honestly do love it (once I'm there lol)
I'm eating healthy 6 days a week and I have one cheat day on a Sunday.
I've been going to the gym for 6weeks now and I've lost a stone which is brilliant but nothing else seems to be happening.
For 3 weeks now I've not even lost a pound which is so frustrating because I'm working so hard.
Please if anyone could advice me in anyway possible then I would greatly appreciate it x. X xx

Hi Kerry

Sorry you haven't been seeing a loss when you've been working so hard. I think the main thing to look at is your diet. Exercise is fantastic for toning and definitely a good thing to do but the biggest factor in losing actual pounds is diet. Do you calorie count or is it a general "eating healthier" approach? It could be worth considering calorie counting or following a healthy eating plan which you keep track of what you are taking in. Hope that helps - best of luck x

Thank you

Thank you for your reply, I just generally try and eat healthy.
I have tried calorie counting before and I used my fitness pal to help and it was really useful so I could actually try that again but be really strict with it.
I'm a classic yo yo dieter and when I reach this point where things seem to Plato I usually give up.
I would love to lose another stone before Xmas so any help I can get will be greatly received.

Best of luck Kerry, I am sure you can find a way to get through the next bit to get to where you want for Christmas. I think it's just finding that way forward with something you can manage day to day and come back to easily if things get tricky. I went a bit off lately but luckily as I follow a pretty structured plan it was pretty easy to get back into it again. It's not easy this slimming lark is it haha. Hope you have a really good week and start to see your hard work on the scales very soon xx

I'm determined to have a good week this week, my husband had a week off last week and although he did come to the gym with me I still felt like we had to make the most of his week off. We went on day trips with the kids etc...... And although I did eat ok I still probably ate more then usual.
I'm blaming him lol
Thank you again and the next time I post I'm. Hoping for a weight loss, good luck with your own journey. X x x

Hi Kerry
I agree with all MarieDK above has said and congratulations to both of you for losing the weight you have!
I have 45 years experience of this slimming lark - and for me, the only way I have managed to lose it is through a slimming club. It just tends to keep you on the "straight and narrow" more than doing it alone. Slimming World is such a great class to go to as its easy and you never have to go hungry. The Gym is great, or whatever form of exercise you fit into your day. I walk lots. Good luck!! xx

Hiya, Thank you for you comments. I have tried slimming world in the past and it did work but it was really hard to continually find child care as my husband works shifts so unfortunately I had to stop.
Honestly at the moment it feels like every day I am soooo hungry, my will power has got up and gone lol.
I feel so guilty after I've eaten rubbish and as a result I feel almost depressed and when I'm dieting I feel so good and so much happier and good about myself but yet I find this so hard. You think it would be easy and that you would just do the thing that makes you happier wouldn't you but NO lol
Ahhhh this is so FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!
I need a big kick up in the bum I think x x

We all hit those walls, really frustrating

Since you started the gym have you taken basic measurements, I found my weight loss slowed but I was fitting into smaller clothes
