Unhappy

Hi All, I need help!

Hi Everyone!

I am currently not on any diet and am really very depressed about my weight. I have tried Slimming world before and I am really thinking I might start doing it again. I'm really looking for support and motivation as I didn't really have it the first time around and that's why I quit. So fingers crossed I'm hoping to join in the conversations with you lovely people and hopefully keep my motivation!!

I haven't started yet as I'm going to dig out all my books tonight so if anyone has any starter advice I would love that!

Thanks all!

x Hatch x

Hi

Yay someone else to talk to about slimming world with There has been quite a few sign up recently. I'm doing it from home because I'm too much of a scardy cat to go to the group

Think positive. You've got yourself up and going + signing up means you are actively doing something. Get them books out. You can do it

See you on the forum

Aww Bless ya, I know the feeling. I remember when I went to the groups before I was really nervous but everyone was so friendly.

I am gonna do it from home also this time I think as I already have a lot of the books and know the basics and there is so much info online now you only have to google how many syns in something and you can normally find it.

Thanks for the nice welcome!

Welcome to the forum

I have a bit of a motivation problem too (hence why we opened this place). You'll do it this time
I like slimming world recipes. Maybe I should get my books back out.

Thank you!!

I got all my books out this evening and also just bought the most recent slimming world magazine and it's got some really nice recipes in it! Think I'm gonna start making weekly meal plans to start with.

First shop on Saturday, any advice on food cupboard essentials that are free or low syn?

Hi Hatch

We're all in it together here to kick you up the bum or share recipes

Going along with the SW plan sounds an ace start, a plan gives you some food discipline, well it does me without one I got lost. I'm following some clean eating recipes recently.

Food cupboard:
Batchelors rice
Whole wheat pasta/rice
Tin tomatoes
Sugar free jelly
Options
Beans
Chilli flakes
Stock pots/cubes
Mini tins tom puree
Mug shots
Spices ... Depends what kind of foods you like though

Can't think of any more ATM

Sounds great thanks loads for the list!!

I dont suppose anyone knows if the Coleman Season and Shake/Season and Steam are bad on SW? They are pretty much just mix of spices and put with chicken and veg etc. I'm guessing they might have loads of hidden bad stuff in the mixes though but not sure. I use them a lot at home as they are really easy after a long day at work but wondering if I need to give them up

Any Ideas?

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum

I use the colman's season & shake packets. This should help

Rich Beef Casserole 6½ syns
Garlic & Herb Chicken 5 syns
Lemon & Herb Chicken 3 syns
Chicken Tikka Masala 8 syns
Piri Piri Chicken 4 syns

Remember to split the syns by how many portions you make

Hello, Thanks for the welcome!

That sounds great i'm really pleased. The piri piri one is our favourite with rice so I'm very happy to see that is only 4 syns!

Thanks for the info!
