Do You Incorporate Weights Into Your Cardio Workout?

I have a friend who wears ankle and wrist weights when she walks. Do you incorporate weights into your cardio workout? I might not mind wrist weights when I walk but I'm not sure I would want ankle weights.

I have some ankle weights that I use when I do leg lifts. I haven't worn them for walking or running but that is a good idea. I think I will have to do without the wrist weights due to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I wouldn't want to do anything to aggravate that.

I've been thinking about incorporating some sort of weights during my power walks. I'm not really sure how much of a difference it would make. Do you think it is worth the purchase and the effort? The only things I lift are grocery bags that I carry up the stairs to my apartment!

When I do my DVDs I use handweights, it just adds a bit extra resistance and helps you burn more and build up a bit more muscle! I have considered wrist/ankle weights, but I think for me it'll be another thing that sits in the cupboard after a couple of weeks
