Biking

Who here bikes? My husband and myself got into it somewhat by mistake, we were talked into it from a cousin and it turned out to be pretty good. As long as we can avoid the rain that has drenched our state for the past few weeks, and the heat that is.

The longest trip we have taken so far is 16 miles. The first one (which I do now three times a week) is about 3.5 miles, I can do it in about 20 minutes but the first time out I swear we were there for over an hour easily.

I just use a stationary bike at the minute but I use to go out twice a week doing about 8 mile a night. I Loved it, we've got a great forest about 5-6 miles away with great bike tracks but I hate going on my own

I only have a stationary bike. I've not been on a real bike for years! Sounds like you're really into your biking, great exercise!

My husband and I did try biking but, even though we live in the country, there are too many heavy lorries and mad white van men on the roads. I never felt safe. I did find it good exercise though! Maybe I'll try a stationary one.

I never thought I would get on a bike again honestly. I remember about ten years ago I was on a bike messing around in a company parking lot, someone had dared me to ride while in a business dress but I still nailed it. Now I doubt I could live without it, the freedom you get when you ride and are not "plugged in". I would not trade it for anything, even ice cream.
