Walking For Fitness

Do any of you use walking for fitness?

I didn't neither did I use my fitbit for steps but our coach has set the whole team up on a challenge so for the last 3 days all I've done is keep moving for FitBit 'steps' walking, running up my stairs and jogging on spot

Yesterday I got my max amount of steps of the 3 days I've been counting, my day included getting to the school early and walking round the school 4 times and in evening I went for a dark walk for near an hour an half whicah lone got me an extra 9000 steps!

This morning I was totally knackered oh and boy do my legs hurt.

I'll update the details on the challenge later, it's certainly interesting with team forfeits to be given out along the way not forgetting he expects the whole team to do 3,000,000 between us in 30 days!

Wow! That's a lot of steps!!

I use my Fitbit mostly for sleep and steps. I will admit I have a low daily target for my steps, and that's partially because I have a desk job and little reason to walk around during the day, but also because I haven't the energy to go for a decent walk everyday. Several things account for the lack of energy, which I'm working on!
But my hope is to be able to get out on my lunch breaks and get lots of steps in, especially when this weather improves

Oh dear, I can only imagine how windy it is! And it seems to only be getting worse this weekend too!

I do enjoy a good walk though, and it can be quite refreshing when it's windy I think, well as long as it's not gale force!
I walked into town yesterday on my lunch break and with the right soundtrack (some good old Classical movie themes!) and the wind blowing around me, I think I actually felt some of those 'cobwebs' get blown away

That is a lot of walking! The weather is awful at the moment too, so that can't be pleasant!

Oh there have been a few COLD walks. Killer at one point I got caught in hail/snow ... was not amused in slightest haha and yesterday I walked 3 hours from Conwy to Llandudno along the coast.... not what I want to be flipping doing on Sunday but was armed with Gold Standard BCAA and a snickers bar for half way Some gorgeous views though.

Total of 140,034 steps last week on the challenge.

Have attached some pics ... stats and a couple of screenshots of the pictures I shared on our team page!!

Admit I can rock up to the gym at 6.15am but I am not active, my feet hurt and how uncomfortable are the Apple iPhone earphones?

That must have been one hard walk in those conditions! You're doing so well and I admire your determination!
