Every week I buy a particular women's magazine at the grocery store and every week they publish a new diet strategy. Some of the ideas make good sense and others are (to me) just plain nuts.
Here's the way I look at it: a quick fix is not going to work in the long run. I don't know about you, but I need an eating strategy I can live with over the long haul. That's why I finally decided to eat less, move more, and focus on being as healthy as I can be
. Because I'm eating less, I strive to eat quality foods: lean proteins, good fat, easy on the carbs, plenty of veggies, little or no processed foods, etc. I am finding this is doable and it seems to be working for me.
It's just a plain old common sense diet! Too bad it took me all these years to figure out that it actually works.
