Had a guest lecture at university from Dr. Mia Gale (author of the Time Diet) on Wednesday. Absolutely incredible ideas on bodyweight issues, and what causes them. In particular I thought I would share this insight: 'most people have lost the ability to listen to their body's signals'. Apparently, due to the speed at which most of us eat, we are actually not receiving the signal to stop eating, until after we have overeaten! There was also a lot of interesting stuff about intermittent fasting, but the real star of the show was nutrient timing. It was a bit hard for people to keep up if they were not well versed in nutrition - luckily I'm studying sport science and nutrition. I am really eager to learn more about the ideas of nutrient timing, so if anyone has any information, recommended reading, or experience I would appreciate it.
