Therapists are great for working out anxiety issues. If it causes a lot of trouble in your life, it might be worth it. I talked with a therapist because I was worried I was developing an eating disorder. We discovered that the issue was just being fearful of eating in public and practiced a number of "homework assignments" where I'd try eating more throughout the day, just in "safe" areas. It was no good for me to go throughout my day feeling sick and weak because I wasn't able to eat. It was horrible. I feel for you that you're experiencing a similar struggle.

While I was going through that, I made sure to supplement with nutrition shakes. I was severely underweight at the time, so I drank Ensures. They taste awful, but they'll get you through the day.
