People have a personal choice, I changed fulll fat coke for diet lemonade... my change my choice and I believe it was a good move.

People certainly shouldn't comment especially when their food lifestyle is clearly way beyond anything you have in your hand/mouth.

I can't drink fizzy drinks now, they make me so bloated! I used to live on pepsi max! The only time I have fizzy now is if OH orders it with pizza or it's got something alcoholic in!

The only thing worse than a hypocrite lecturing about food choices is a fad diet know-it-all. Right now I have a friend lecturing me about the evils of gluten and she isn't even gluten intolerant. She got on the bandwagon for that about 2 months ago. Soon it will be something else.

I know a lot of people do the gluten free diets with good results but she makes up her own rules. She eats as many corn chips and tortilla chips as she wants and ignores the fact that they contain flour. She also eats as many potato chips as she wants and still manages to act like she is doing the "healthy" diet and has the right to be critical of what other people are doing. It would be sort of funny if it wasn't so obnoxiously hypocritical.

This seems quite the common experience, doesn't it? In my case, the worst finger pointers are the people with extremely little knowledge of diet and nutrition and state fallacies that are more harmful than helpful.

I deal with it by smiling sweetly and saying, "You do know that when you point a finger, there's three more pointing back at you, right?"

Millicent, I am totally stealing that; I love it!!!

Jeans, I had a family member and a friend get on the gluten-free bandwagon for a while, too. I also have a friend that claims she's lactose intolerant, preaches Paleo dieting with it's "no dairy allowed" rule and then asks me out for chocolate ice cream once a month. That one always gets me!!

I think the people in your life worry too much about you than they do themselves. Did I read that right, is a kid who is drinking soda giving you the finger shrug? Since when it is okay that we let our kids drink sodas? Mine don't.
It's frustrating when people tell you what to do in your life especially when they are obviously not making wise choices in their lives. What might even be worse are the people who have changed their lifestyle (even for a short period of time) and they go around spouting "information" for everyone to follow. An acquaintance of mine was lecturing me the other day on Cup o Soups and how full of chemicals they are and how I shouldn't be eating them. Like she doesn't eat ANYTHING with chemicals in it? How is that possible?
