I haven't really noticed a taste difference, I usually have something quite spicy with rice, but I do notice I am chewing it for a whole lot longer. It's a bit of a nutty texture. It's nice though, but takes quite a while longer to cook than white rice - which has caught me out a couple of times!

It definitely has a bit more of a nuttier texture whereas white rice is very bland. We mostly eat brown rice and I got used to the taste and like it. I was looking on the back of brown and white rice packets before actually and was surprised that brown rice hash around half the carbs of white rice for some reason!

I tired it with my chicken fried rice yesterday after I posted this and wasn't keen on the texture. I was gutted sainsburys didn't sell uncle bens brown rice, I prefer uncle bens over supermarket rice, seems to cook better!

If you eat it alone you can tell. To me it taste more "dry" or not as moist. If you use it with other food you can barely tell. Of course this is just my opinion. I don't mind brown rice and I'm not a fan of white rice.

It tastes different to me. Not my much, but I can definitely tell a difference. I eat it because it is healthier. I don't like rice much, but when I do eat it, I always choose brown rice over white rice.

My husband is not a big fan of rice but I still make him eat it when I cook it. We will sometimes do white rice but most of the time if I am cooking brown rice it is a little spicy to go with a nice Thai/Chinese dinner or it is spicy when we have Mexican rice.

Brown rice is really good in soups because it holds up much better when cooked for a long time. It's much healthier. I guess it's like anything else that takes time getting used to and before long we don't notice much difference.

I will say that brown rice has a fuller body, and more of a nutty flavor. It has more to it than white rice being thicker as well. I prefer white rice for the most part actually. Unless it's like fried rice in Chinese food.

My kids like white rice but they won't touch brown rice. I personally think it has a much nuttier taste and I'd prefer it if everyone liked it. It is a little tougher than white, and takes a bit more chewing, but that's all.
