Countdown to summer... 3 months to lose as much as possible

It happens every year without fail. The weather starts getting nice and all of a sudden I start doing mental maths of how much I need to lose to get to a comfortable weight before summer hits

Do you reckon I could lose about 20lbs in 3 month?

Does anyone else do this? how much do you want to lose in the next few months?

Depending on how much fat you have to lose, and your adherence to an appropriate eating plan, 20 lbs in 3 months is very doable

Mitch - I do the same thing! I start to calculate the number of weeks and the pounds per week I would need to lose to be able to safely wear shorts and sleeveless tops in public.

2lbs per week for the next 10 weeks. hmmm! ok I'm gonna do it Sounds like less of a challenge when breaking it down weekly Will weigh-in tomorrow and see how I get on

I am not sure were I will be by the time summer rolls around. I am hoping we can take a nice vacation this year so maybe off to the beach we go? I am still going to need a swimsuit and it has been years since I have bought one, eek!

I have been doing this all year, Mitch! I'm 12 pounds down so far so doing pretty good, but still have a ways (and I mean a ways!!) to go. Good luck to you. Two pounds a week is very doable as long as you are consistent with diet and exercise. It's way more doable than 20 pounds a month; that's for sure!!

So how are you setting your calorie goals and monitoring intake?

Should totally be doable Mitch! I have about the same goal, broken down by weeks (and kilos). I want to do 7 kilos in about 7 or 8 weeks. Stephen is exactly right that if we stick to a plan and exercise, then it should be attainable!
