A trail mix in greek yogurt pre workout?

A friend suggested a trail mix with some greek yogurt before a workout? I read on Wiki it is nuts fruit and sometimes chocolate. So I guess the chocolate defeats the purpose so I am wondering what nuts or fruit others add? What nuts are healthy for you? I always thought they weren't that good for you!

What sort of workouts do you do. Pre workout nutrition is definitely not needed for many workouts, depends on type, duration, intensity etc
