Alternative for cream

What would be the healthiest way to do this? It calls for cream and I picked up a few things today at the store but I am sure they are all bad. How hard is it to make your own cream?

Those are so cute! I love this idea. Maybe it would work with Cool Whip. They have a "lite" version that is half the calories and fat. If you stick it in the freezer, it should be firm enough to hold it's shape but they'd need to be served fairly quickly after assembling.

I read that you might be able to do that but it needs to be really thick and stay very cold. I am not sure how cold which makes me hesitant to try it out. I went ahead and picked up a container of whipped topping at the store yesterday and place to taste test this weekend.

I don't know if this would work, but I have a friend who's had great luck substituting yogurt in recipes that call for cream. I'll have to ask her and see what she thinks about this. Maybe she'll have a tip or two.
