Our coach has decided to do this with us ... 'This' is torture.
Widow makers is a 20 rep back squat with the bar.
You squat with the max weight on the bar you think you can handle and do 20 reps in 1 single set, no stopping.This is obviously going to be lighter than you 1-5 rep weight.
I have max rep 1 85kg so I did 55kg on go one. My friend did it first and she was shaking, I didn't get it .... then I did. Soooo shaky after it
I have now completed 60kg on the widow maker and really pleased.
The idea round this is to challenge yourself to increase your weights as you get stronger. So when you fail next week you try that weight again... if you complete the max you up 2.5kg or 5kg onto the bar. Seems a low number but those couple of kg make a massive difference when put together.
